To begin the process, Dr. Winter will clean your teeth, then use a special gum protectant and cheek retractors to protect your oral tissue from the whitening compound. Then, she will apply a layer of whitener to each of your teeth, and use a UV light to activate the peroxide-based whitener.
Then, Dr. Winter will rinse away the whitener and check the brightness of your teeth, and repeat this process until your teeth have reached the desired shade. Most treatments take just one appointment, but some patients may need multiple whitening appointments if they have severe stains.
